E-Safety, Safeguarding and the rest...
The new Safeguarding page on the website is now live.
Have a look - there are some brilliant links to support safeguarding education in the classroom and at home.
Don't show the children yet - as I want to complete an E-Safety survey before and after they use them.

Embedding Content
So a new year befalls us!
As mentioned - the intention is for us to improve our use of our blogs.
If you click on this link - you will find a presentation that teaches you how to put video and other lovely stuff into your blog - like this...
... also, this video might be useful too!!
Remember, this is an opportunity to make our blogs useful as a learning tool rather than just a showcase. Also - each blog can have different pages now too. You could have a separate page for your learning content and have the front page as a showcase as before.
Play around and see what you can come up with.

Jigsaw Method and Catching Up!
Hello all!
First of all: you have probably come to this post as you received an email to tell you that this blog has been updated. As I mentioned before - this blog will become more and more important as time goes on. It will share thinking and examples of teaching and learning to help us improve at school. Please read and digest, comment and be ready to discuss and share ideas in staff meetings and at INSET.
Secondly: some of you naughty people haven't completed the survey I asked you to - click on this link to complete it. Look at the previous post to remember the definitions if you need to. I have given you until the 14th April to do it.
Finally, something to look at. Follow this link to see a presentation about something called the Jigsaw Method. Definately something that would be good to see used from at least the Early Years upwards in varying degrees. See what you think. Watch the videos with the pedagogies discussed in mind. (Make sure you click on the play button to make the presentation work - you may think nothing is happening if you don't! Lesson learned by me there - I'll make sure it's a bit more automatic next time!)

Pedagogy and Improving Our Practice
We looked at Reading Journals on Tuesday with a little taster of things to come in the form of pedagogy and improving our practice. The post below contains a link for the survey you need to complete.
If you need a reminder about what each heading actually means, I have included the following document to help...
Don't forget to email if you get stuck. You have until half-term to complete the survey.
